We all have our prized possessions—things that are of utmost importance to us. For some people, it’s their car, for others, their jewelry, and still for others, their gadgets.
For this Great Dane, the most important thing was his bed, and he was extremely possessive of it. One day, his human dad decided to pull a prank on him by lying down on his prized possession.
The dog towered over dad as he lay on the bed. He stood by the edge of the bed to let dad know he should not be there. He wanted to send the message that dad had to leave.
However, dad was lying comfortably on his dog’s bed, and he didn’t look like he would get out of it soon.
The dog was determined to shoo dad away. He barked at him softly as if to tell him, “Dad, you’re on my bed.”
Dad playfully ignored the Great Dane.
“Oh, I like this bed,” he teased his dog.
The dog kept signaling dad to move, poking him with his paw to let him know he wasn’t welcome on the bed. He barked some more as if to say, “Get out of my bed. That’s my bed!”
Dad kept teasing him and refused to leave his bed. However, the dog was determined to get his bed back. He nudged dad with his paw and his nose. He continued to communicate to dad that he wanted his bed and that he meant business.
Dad just kept laughing at him. He petted his fur baby, stroking its neck. He was hoping that doing this would cause the dog to just let him be.
Indeed, the Great Dane enjoyed dad’s strokes on his fur. However, the moment dad stopped, the dog nudged him again and poked him with his paw to get him to leave.
When dad saw that his dog was not going to stop until he got off the bed, he finally gave in. Laughingly, dad got up and returned the bed to its owner.
There really was no way the Great Dane would share his bed with anyone, not even with dad.
