I find it upsetting to see some shelter dogs being overlooked. Sam’s story is inspiring and someday, hopefully, someone might just be interested in him.
Sam is a senior dog. His family sadly gave him up at South Godstone shelter because of unfortunate circumstances and are unable to take care of him. Everyone positively believed Sam would immediately find a forever home regardless of his age. This dog was just sweet and has an adorable face.
He was, unfortunately, unable to find a home yet From the day he arrived at the shelter nearly over 135 dogs were adopted and it still puzzles the staffs why he’s been overlooked.
For Emily Jefferson, one of the animal care assistants of RSPCA was deeply heartbroken to see the dog looking at his fellow canine be adopted. She described Sam as incredibly friendly and loves fuss and needs to have a quiet home – no children and other dogs. Possibly looking for an understanding and dedicated family selflessly going to help him overcome fears and worries. It helps him enjoy his dog life.
Sam might be really old, but he’s a puppy at heart. He just enjoyed running around and playing outdoors. Snuggling close to his loved friends is his favorite.
The staff didn’t stop supporting him. They went spamming monthly posts about him on social media in hopes of finding him a forever home. They had a photo shoot commemorating his one-year anniversary with South Godstone shelter in which he received a cake along with “packed bags” displaying his readiness to finally find his home.
Jefferson even requested people fond of the dog to spot him on their walks. She believed Sam is a good sport and hopeful that through everyone’s effort, Sam will be forever happy in the arms of a loving family.
