Officers from the Volusia Sheriff’s Office rushed to Motel 6 in Daytona Beach when they received reports about a woman threatening to jump off a second-floor balcony. The frantic lady was already violent and has already attacked one of the cleaning staff.

Stunned onlookers

When the cops arrived, they cautiously went to the door and knocked on it. They asked the woman to calmly go outside. There was no response. After a while, they asked for a key from the management so they can go in.

But before they could do that, the violent woman, who heard what they were planning, opened the door and went rushing out. In her arms was a German Shepherd.

The officers thought that she was just taking the dog somewhere. But to their surprise, she suddenly went to the balcony railing and tossed the dog over. All the responding cops were stunned for a moment. They couldn’t believe that she would do that.

When they recovered from their shock shortly after, they rushed to the woman and subdued her. The violent lady was then arrested and taken to jail where she was charged with animal cruelty and resisting arrest.

As for the dog, she miraculously survived the fall without any injury. She even tried to run away after landing on her feet. Luckily, there were a lot of onlookers who were able to catch her right away.

A new life

The dog, who was later named Miracle for obvious reasons, was taken to the Volusia County Animal Services. She was eventually transferred to foster care. Eventually, they saw that she had the potential to be a service dog.

They put Miracle in a training program, and she is rapidly progressing. Her trainers say that she is the star of her class. When she finally graduates from the program, she will be sent to a military veteran. Not only will she be helping someone live a fulfilling life, but she will also have a happy one of her own with her new forever family.
